Hamilton is proud to introduce the new Ultralast™ wheel – representing the highest performing urethane we’ve ever offered. The new Ultralast™ wheel possesses “off the chart” performance characteristics—
specifically in the areas of thermal retention and rollability. Heat buildup in polyurethane, due to high loads or continuous duty applications, is the most common cause for material breakdown over the life of the wheel. Ultralast™ polyurethane operates much cooler under load and at higher speeds compared to most other urethanes. The result is a simply superior dynamic performance and a longer service life.
Ultralast™ also represents the best rolling polyurethane wheel we’ve ever offered and by a wide margin. For example, the urethane’s rebound test results, which can be a proxy for rollability, measures 110% higher than Duralast®, 60% higher than PolySoft® and 20% higher than Vulkollan®. So the combination of Ultralast™’s very low thermal retention and extremely high rollability characteristics results in an ultra high performance wheel that’s designed to outperform and outlast other polyurethanes in the marketplace.

|
| Hamilton recommends Ultralast™ wheels for continuous duty/power-towed, and higher speed applications on smooth surfaces. The types: The standard Ultralast™ wheel has 3/8" thick red tread chemically bonded to gray heavy duty cast iron center. The Super Ultralast™ is the ultimate 1" extra thick tread molded to a super heavy duty forged steel center. Ultralast™ and Super Ultralast™ wheels are available in Hamilton’s forged steel casters including the popular Workhorse, Heavy Service, Extra Heavy Duty, Kingpinless Endurance Series, and many more. |
|
The tables below offer our most popular sizes, yet the new Ultralast™ polyurethane can be molded to Hamilton’s other cast iron, forged steel, and/or aluminum centers in finished sizes ranging from 3 1/4" to 20" diameter. Consult factory for pricing and availability.
Note: Test data illustrates the Ultralast™ wheel dynamics are equivalent to or superior to Vulkollan®.
Volkollan® is a registered trademark of Bayer Material Science.
